A selenotrope is a moon-stalking imaginary plant.

On selenotrope.net, you will find a selection of Shadi’s latest projects, starting with the selenotrope tree, a new way to represent web content as an abstract particle system.

Below is a demo of what a selenotrope looks like. Click on it to view it full screen.

Click here to interact with the selenotrope. You navigate it by clicking on a given word, unfolding new branches.

Featured selenotrope.net projects are: twinkle twinkle… a visual collective poetry writing experiment, remains of the night a media installation that algorithmically generates movies based on stories users enter, and imagine si ceci a film reverie around nature and industrial civilization that is also generated live and different every time you watch it.
On selenotrope.net you will also find two short films I have directed: l’âge nu and l’impeccable douceur des bulles de savon.

  2. Nice site!
I noticed that you contributed to the production of Khalass, but it does not figure on your site. However, I’d like to know whether there exists a trailer or not for this movie.

    Thanx

  3. Hi !
Yes I did work on Khalass as a set photographer. But that was a few years ago, since the movie’s release was quite delayed. I don’t know if there exists a trailer for this movie, I only have photographic material.

    cheers,
    shadi
